Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This policy describes your right of withdrawal as a consumer when purchasing on jegon.net, as well as the rules for refunds. As a private customer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on both digital services and physical hardware – but the rules for when the period starts, and how you withdraw, differ between the two types of purchase, as described in each section below.
Note: The 14-day right of withdrawal described in the sections below applies to private consumers (B2C) – regardless of which country you live in. If you are purchasing as a business (B2B), you do not have a statutory right of withdrawal; see the "Business customers (B2B)" section at the end of this document.
Private customers (B2C) – digital services (subscriptions)
1. 14-day right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal when entering into an agreement to purchase a digital service (subscription) on jegon.net, in accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. The withdrawal period runs from the day the agreement is entered into – that is, from the time of payment. This applies even though the service is delivered/activated immediately upon purchase – see section 2.
2. Jegon grants a full right of withdrawal even though the service is delivered immediately
Under the law, Jegon would be entitled to let the right of withdrawal lapse immediately if you expressly requested immediate delivery of a digital service and at the same time confirmed that you were aware that your right of withdrawal would thereby lapse (in accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act). Jegon has decided not to make use of this option.
You therefore have a full 14-day right of withdrawal on all digital services (subscriptions) on jegon.net, even though you get access immediately upon purchase. There is no checkbox to waive the right of withdrawal during checkout.
3. How to withdraw from a digital service
Before the withdrawal period expires (see section 1), you can withdraw from the purchase by contacting us at contact@jegon.net or by phone on +45 22 11 52 72. You may use the standard withdrawal form provided by the Danish Consumer Ombudsman/European Commission, but this is not required – a clear, unambiguous statement is sufficient.
4. Refund upon withdrawal from a digital service
If you withdraw in time and within the period in section 1, we will refund the full amount paid as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we have received your notice of withdrawal. Refunds are made to the same payment card used for the purchase.
5. Cancelling an ongoing subscription
Once the withdrawal period has expired, an ongoing subscription can be cancelled to take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is given for already paid but not yet used days in a current period – see also the cancellation section of our terms and conditions.
6. Errors and defects in digital services
This policy concerns withdrawal under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act and is not a right to complain about defects. If you experience errors or defects in a digital service, see the complaints section of our terms and conditions, or contact contact@jegon.net.
Private customers (B2C) – physical goods (hardware)
7. Purchasing physical hardware – Denmark only
jegon.net currently sells physical hardware (e.g. sensors, firewalls, routers and wifi access points) exclusively to customers with a delivery address in Denmark. Sales to other countries will be added as Jegon establishes a local presence (staff and/or a local company) in the relevant country.
8. 14-day right of withdrawal for physical goods
When purchasing physical hardware, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal as a consumer from the day you (or a person designated by you, other than the carrier) physically receive the goods – unlike digital services, where the period runs from the time of payment.
9. How to withdraw from a hardware purchase
You withdraw by giving us a clear, unambiguous statement to that effect, e.g. at contact@jegon.net or by phone on +45 22 11 52 72, before the withdrawal period expires. You must then return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you notified us of your withdrawal.
10. Return costs and condition of the goods
You bear the direct cost of returning the goods yourself, unless otherwise agreed. You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods – i.e. the same as you would be allowed to do in a physical shop.
11. Refund upon withdrawal from a hardware purchase
We will refund the full amount paid, including any delivery costs (excluding any extra cost if you chose a more expensive delivery method than our cheapest standard delivery), no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back, or you have provided proof of having shipped them back, whichever comes first. Refunds are made to the same payment card used for the purchase, and may be withheld until the goods have been received back.
12. Right to complain about defects in hardware
Physical hardware purchased via jegon.net is covered by the general right to complain about defects under the Danish Sale of Goods Act, i.e. 24 months from delivery. If you discover an error or defect, please contact us at contact@jegon.net as soon as possible after discovering it.
Business customers (B2B)
13. No statutory right of withdrawal for businesses
The 14-day right of withdrawal described above applies only to private consumers (B2C). If you are purchasing as a business (B2B) – whether a digital service or physical hardware, and regardless of where the business is registered – you do not have a statutory right of withdrawal under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act.
Subscriptions can instead be cancelled on an ongoing basis under the rules in our terms and conditions. Physical hardware purchased by a business cannot be returned without a specific agreement with Jegon to that effect, but is covered by the general right to complain about defects, see the complaints section of our terms and conditions.
14. Contact
If you have questions about withdrawal or refunds – whether you are a private or business customer, or whether it concerns a digital service or physical hardware – please feel free to contact us at contact@jegon.net or +45 22 11 52 72.
