Pricing

You pay for the number of devices you have on jegon.net, and for whether jegon operates them or not. All prices are per month and excl. VAT.

Currency:

Devices jegon operates

When jegon operates a device, only jegon has access to it. You still see everything on jegon.net.

per device per month

Devices you run yourself

If you have access to the device yourself, you can do the same on jegon.net, but the devices are priced in steps of five. The first 5 are free. From the 6th device it costs one step in total, from the 11th two steps, and so on.

1-5 devices Free
6-10 devices
11-15 devices
16-20 devices
21-25 devices
... and so on: one more step for every 5 devices.

The price is one total for all your devices that jegon does not operate - not per device.

Five types of devices

All five types count together on your account, and a device costs the same whatever its type.

  • LoRaWAN gateway
  • LoRaWAN sensor (cannot be operated by jegon)
  • Router, including wifi router and firewall
  • Server, including mail server, file server and firewall
  • UPS

How we work out your price

Operated or not operated
A device is operated when jegon runs it and only jegon has access to it. Everything else is not operated, including devices you bought from us and administer yourself. A LoRaWAN sensor cannot be operated and always counts as not operated.
What counts
You can fill up your device list without thinking about the price. A device only counts once it is in use: an IP device when it is monitored (SNMP, agent or ping), a LoRaWAN sensor when ChirpStack has received data from it, and a LoRaWAN gateway when ChirpStack has accepted it and it is online. Devices jegon operates always count. A device that others share with you is not on your list and does not count.
Highest count in the month
For each month we keep track of how many operated and how many not operated devices you had at the same time, and use the highest number. If a device switches between operated and not operated in the middle of the month, it counts in the highest number for both groups if it was in both.
The price
The number of operated devices times the device price, plus a number of steps times the step price. The number of steps is the number of devices that are not operated divided by 5, rounded up, minus 1 (never below 0). Up to 5 devices that are not operated therefore give 0 steps.
Example
You had at most 12 devices that are not operated and 2 that are operated in the month. The 2 operated cost 2 times the device price. 12 not operated is 12 divided by 5, rounded up to 3, minus 1 = 2 steps. In total 4 times the device price, when the step price equals the device price.

How devices are counted and billed

  • You pay for the highest number of devices you had at the same time in the month.
  • Devices other jegon users share with you do not count.
  • Devices jegon operates are paid in advance for the month. Other devices are paid in arrears for the month that has passed.
  • Prices are fixed in each currency (DKK, EUR and USD), not converted day by day.
  • VAT is added according to your country and account type.

Solutions

On top of the devices we build ready-made solutions, each with its own price. A solution requires the LoRaWAN gateway to be operated by jegon, and its devices still count in the device price above.

Theft & Fire

Put your home or business on alarm from the web or the app. The alarm goes off when a PIR, a magnet contact or a smoke alarm triggers, and sounds on an alarm bell until you switch it off.

Heating control

Control the heating at home or in the business from temperature readings.

Lighting control

Switch lights on and off automatically with PIR sensors.

Robust IT

More robust IT operations where LoRaWAN and IP devices work together: restart equipment through a smart plug, measure the temperature at the servers and watch the server room door.
